Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Still Hour (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Still Hour website and web application (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: the email address and password you use to create an account. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider and are not visible to us.
- Profile information you choose to enter, such as your display name, favourite verse, intentions and appearance preferences.
- App content you create: reading plans, reading progress, streaks, bookmarks, prayer entries and journal notes.
- Purchase information: the email address, transaction identifier and purchase status shared with us by our payment provider so we can grant your lifetime access.
- Technical information generated automatically, such as basic log and error data used to keep the Services working.
We do not ask for, and you should not enter, payment card numbers into the App. Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To store and sync your reading plan, prayers, journal and preferences across the devices you sign in from.
- To verify your purchase and grant, restore or revoke lifetime access.
- To send service-related email such as account confirmation, password reset, and purchase or access notices.
- To operate, maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Services.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse or violations of our Terms of Use.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing email.
3. Your Prayers and Journal Entries
Prayer entries, journal notes and reading progress are private to your account. They are stored so that they are available to you when you sign in, and access is restricted at the database level to your own account. We do not publish them or share them with other users.
4. AI Features
Some features generate prayers or reflections using an AI service. When you use those features, the text you submit for that request is sent to the AI provider so a response can be produced. We do not send your stored journal history for this purpose unless you include it in a request yourself.
5. Service Providers
We rely on a small number of providers to run the Services, including our hosting and database/authentication platform, our email delivery provider, our AI provider, and our payment provider. These providers process information only as needed to perform their services for us.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser storage that are necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your settings and offline app state. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Data Retention
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account exists, and keep purchase records for as long as needed for accounting, fraud-prevention and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your account and its content at any time.
8. Your Choices and Rights
- Access, correct or update your profile information from within the App.
- Edit or delete your prayer and journal entries at any time.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete your account, by emailing us.
- Unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in the footer of our emails.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law. We will honour valid requests as required by that law.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted connections, authenticated access and per-account database restrictions to protect your information. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date above shows when it was most recently revised. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
